Estuary project

Over the past few weeks we have been researching, crafting and publishing to create a mobile, diorama or poster about estuaries. We made them to fit the criteria that Mrs Cameron set us. We had to make an estuary food web, explain what an estuary is, animals of the estuary, plants of the estuary, threats to an estuary and why an estuary is important. I created a mobile and here is a picture of it.

Optimist yacht net

Today we have made a paper optimist yacht. To do this you had to follow the instructions carefully. So you could have nice clean folds and the right pieces in the right place. I found it hard fiddling around with the little folds.
Below is a picture of my finished optimist yacht.

These are the parts of the optimist yacht.

Key parts of the article sailing by Jan Tafford

1.If you are 8 years of age you can sail and optimist yacht.
2.To set up the rigging on the boats we put the mast in place and unfurl the sail so it flaps in the breeze.
3.The optimist is sturdy safe and stable.
4.The centreboard stops the boat from moving away.

Search for the secrets scavenger hunt

A few weeks ago we went on class history scavenger hunt around Havelock North. When we got back we were asked to write a newspaper article and we were the reporters. Here's my article down below. I have used an app called Pic Collage to publish it.
